8:15 - 9:00  Music/PE

9:00 - 9:30  Free Play--toys, books, puzzles, computers

9:30 - 9:45  Calendar - VIP, helpers, day, weather,

read aloud stories, songs, finger plays, poems, mechanics of reading -

concept of written word, top to bottom, left to right, sweep back left, eye looks at

each letter in each word and PHONICS ACTIVITY-

9:45- 10:15 Phonics Activity, bathroom break, get ready for lunch

10:15 - 10:45 lunch

10:45- 11:00   drinks/ bathroom

11:25 - 11:50 recess

11:50 - 12:30- 3 group rotation for Literacy First -

1)computers, 2)teacher table, 3)independent table

12:30- 1:15  Quiet time/rest time

1:15 - 1:30  clean up from rest, tie shoes

1:30 - 2:00  Group instruction in classroom - Math activities (writing names, skills page. cut& glue activity) play do, puzzles, books, music and movement, act out stories, Bingo, (color & shape, number, letter) handwriting

2:00 - 2:20 snack and juice/ read aloud stories

2:20 - 2:40 outdoor recess

2:40 - 3:00 read aloud stories, or group activity at rugs in big room, get ready to go home

3:10 - dismiss to parents and buses
