Our students will be welcomed, inspired and challenged to carry a love of reading into their adult live.

BOOKS

  • Overdue Books: Overdue books are to be returned in the book drop like any other book. There are no late fees. Students are blocked from checking out more books until their record is cleared.
  • Overdue Notices: Overdue notices will be handed to the student or mailed to the student. Parents can be informed of the fine but not the name of the material that is checked out.
  • Lost/Damaged Books: Students will be charged for lost or damaged books. Students should not lend checked out books to others, as they will be responsible for payment if the book is lost or damaged.
  • Textbooks (High School): Textbooks will be issud to students at the beginning of the school year during each class. Textbooks are to be treated as library books except they do not have to be renewed. Students will only be issued one copy of the textbook unless it has been turned into the library. The barcode on the front cover is the identifying factor in determining the owner of the book.
  • End of the Year Overdue or Lost Books (and students transferring or moving): Students with lost or overdue books at the end of the school year will be blocked form checking out of school and receiving report cards or diplomas. It is important to keep a clean library record throughout your school years.
