Geometry

Welcome to the Geometry webpage!

Geometry or "Earth-Measuring" is a part of mathematics concerned with questions of size, shape, relative position of figures, and the properties of space.  In this course you will be exposed to the concepts of logical reasoning, properties of 2-dimensional figures, triangles and trigonometric ratios, properties of 3-dimensional figures, and coordinate geometry.

In this class, the student will be taught how to use deductive and inductive reasoning to solve problems use the properties and formulas of geometric figures to solve problems, use the properties of right triangles and trigonometric ratios to solve problems, use the properties and formulas of geometric figures to solve problems, and solve problems with geometric figures in the coordinate plane.

Before taking this class you must have completed Algebra I and you need to pass this class to move on to Algebra II or any other advanced level of mathmatics. Also at the end of the course the students will have to take an end of instruction test(EOI)

20% of your grade is class work

All classwork is due the next school day.

80% is tests.
