To make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The Geronimo FFA hopes to develop leadership, citizenship and cooperation in your student. It is my sincere wish that all students will learn, grow and become useful citizens in our city, state, and nation.
"Future Farmers of America" was founded by a group of young farmers back in 1928. Their mission was to prepare future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting-- it's a science, it's a business and it's an art.
FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet those challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of career pathways.
So today, we are still the Future Farmers of America. But, we are the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers and Future Entrepreneurs of America, too.
The core principles of the 4-H movement are reflected in the shared successes of 4-H youth and their communities. So what are the principles that drive 4-H?
The 4-Hs
Head, Heart, Hands, and Health are the four H's in 4-H, and they are the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs.
Head - Managing, Thinking
Heart - Relating, Caring
Hands - Giving, Working
Health - Being, Living
The 4-H Pledge
I Pledge my head to clearer thinking,
My heart to greater loyalty,
My hand to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my comunity, my country, and my world.
